WordPress / PHP Developer

Are you a  master WordPress developer with 2+ years of proven experience building and launching WordPress themes/plugins? Do you consider yourself a tech-savvy self-starter capable of working with little or no direction? Do you like to take on new challenges?

Your Role:

You will be working with our development team building new WordPress plugins and improving existing plugins/themes. You will also need to collaborate with the Digital Marketing Team to execute their vision and put the best version of the product forward.

What we’re looking for:

• Advanced understanding of the WordPress core software and its functions at the code level.
• Experience building WordPress themes/plugins
• Understanding of WordPress coding and security best practices
• Understanding of web performance best practices (e.g. analyze and optimize critical rendering path)
• Strong knowledge of  PHP/HTML/SASS

• Intermediate knowledge of “vanilla” JavaScript  (i.e. no jQuery, etc)
• Working knowledge of MySQL
• Experience with Git, Gulp, JSON-LD and Node a plus
• Possess an ambitious work ethic
• Able to multi-task and prioritize projects
• Not afraid to seek help and ask questions when necessary
• Someone capable of creating a clear plan of action and follow through
• Must be able to abandon a project and move on when it is no longer optimal to pursue it
• Eagerness to learn new trends and technologies
